Founded more than a decade ago by an enterprising and creative woman in Montreal, the company has thrived for more than a decade. As the company continues to grow, they have recognized the need to strengthen their operational and finance infrastructure.
A newly created, senior operations and finance role, and a key member of the Executive Management Team, this position will report to the Founder and President. Working closely with the President, this role requires significant expertise in the consumer goods industry across Canada and the US. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of executing comprehensive operational strategies and driving financial excellence. Strong leadership and a deep understanding of the business (product costing, sales, margins, labour, inventory management, logistics), finance and accounting, risk management, cash management, customer/credit management and systems are essential. The candidate should be adept at providing strategic business insights and actioning those strategies as a member of the team.
Ideal Candidate Background:
· A CPA with at least 8+ years of financial and operational leadership experience.
· Consumer product experience in fast-growing companies is required.
· Strong sales acumen with a keen understanding of market dynamics and customer needs.
· Solid understanding of costing, inventory management and sales finance.
· Skilled in implementing strategic plans to ensure smooth and effective operations, aligning with organizational goals.
· Solid financial acumen and experience in budgeting and financial analysis.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and French.
· Excellent leadership and team management skills.
· Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
