Reporting directly to the VP, Human Resources, the Senior Talent Acquisition Partner will be part of a top-notch team that includes specialists in talent management and organizational development and equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Some key responsibilities include:
• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including discussions with hiring managers, developing and
initiating sourcing strategies, screening and interviewing candidates to assess overall fit, and the
offer/negotiation process
• Develop relationships with internal leaders that foster an understanding of their needs and to be better
able to assess fit for each new role
• Identify top talent through research and relationship-based recruiting strategies; review current
recruitment process and identify opportunities to further enhance the candidate experience
• Connect with industry groups and use multiple sources to build a network of candidates to further grow
our connections to talent and groups of talent and partner with specific colleges/programs to further
develop a funnel of talent
• Collaborate with the Head of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion to expand our connections to more diverse
talent and review recruitment process to ensure there are no unintended barriers or biases
• Work with the Communications and HR teams on developing strategies to share our Employee Value
Proposition externally
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced talent acquisition specialist to develop and implement new strategies and programs to reach prospective employees, to build relationships inside and outside the organization, and to play a key role in the continuing success of a highly regarded media and entertainment company. With head office in Toronto, this role will be at the heart of the organization, but with the opportunity to work with offices in New York City, L.A., London, UK, and beyond.
The ideal candidate brings 7 – 10 years of experience in building strong and trusting relationships internally and externally in a creative industry (media, advertising, design etc.) through adept listening skills and an interest in developing an understanding of the individual needs of managers/senior management. Creative problem-solving skills, the ability to work both collaboratively and independently, and outstanding communication abilities are essential to success in this position.
