THE OPPORTUNITY
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing visionary leadership and strategic direction to drive the company's growth and success. They will work closely with the management team and other stakeholders to execute the company's vision and achieve its financial, operational, and business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
- Define and develop the company's overall strategic direction and business objectives aligned with the owners’ vision.
- Drive the implementation of strategic goals to achieve business objectives, profitability, and market leadership.
- Ensure the company's vision, mission, and strategic direction is communicated across the organization.
- Provide leadership and guidance to Management.
- Conduct regular meetings and facilitate open communication to align departments and drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Oversee all aspects of business, including sales, operations, marketing, production, distribution, finance, and human resources and ensure alignment with the company’s direction.
- Work in close collaboration with the sales team to drive sales growth, providing strategic and operational insights.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, partners, and industry associations.
- Ensure the company's financial health and profitability by overseeing financial management, budgeting, and cost control measures.
- Monitor and evaluate the company's performance against key performance indicators and take necessary actions to achieve targets.
- Manage risk effectively and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and industry dynamics to identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, streamlining operations, and enhancing overall.
- Represent the company in various industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
- Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and collaboration providing opportunities for employee growth and career advancement.
THE CANDIDATE
This role requires a dynamic and experienced leader with a deep understanding of retail, manufacturing, and importing, a track record of fostering innovation and driving sales, and a passion for driving business excellence.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS and ATTRIBUTES
- Proven track record of at least 10 years of executive leadership experience in retail, manufacturing and/or import business.
- Demonstrated success in driving sales growth, increasing profitability, and expanding market share.
- Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Solid financial acumen and experience in budgeting and financial analysis.
- Visionary leadership with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
- Understanding of design, manufacturing processes, and supply chain management.
- Proven ability to adapt to changing market conditions and lead in a dynamic business environment.
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English & French.
