They are seeking an experienced Controller to be a true finance business partner, working closely with the General Manager of a complex manufacturing campus. This is a fast-paced, high-performing environment where there’s always something to learn, challenges to be met, and strategic decisions to be made.
In addition to managing a team of 10 who are focused on providing day-to-day finance and accounting support, the Controller will provide monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis and provide strategic and operational advice to the General Manager and other members of the senior management team.
Key responsibilities include:
· Monitor financial performance and adjust year-end EBIT, Balance Sheet & and capital projections on a
monthly and / or quarterly basis.
· Collects, measures and monitors data related to the overall effectiveness of the department;
benchmarking and analyzing these trends to establish action plans for continuous improvement (QOS
process).
· Develops and executes an annual strategic plan for the department supporting company performance
objectives and industry/field related benchmarking and trends.
· Coordinate and produce the Company’s Annual 7-year Business Plan and Quarterly Forecasts, ensuring
accuracy & timely submission to Group office.
· Place and manage all requests for foreign currency hedge contracts.
· Review and analyze manufacturing/cost variance to identify and adjust inaccuracies with system
standards and production inefficiencies.
· Ensure that appropriate system of internal control is implemented and maintained regularly
The ideal candidate is a designated accountant with at least three years of managerial experience in a manufacturing environment. The ability to communicate effectively, influence and motivate at all levels, and make decisions in a high-stakes environment is essential, as is experience in a manufacturing environment.
